Fritschi Diamir Freeride Plus Binding Review

The Frischi Diamir Freeride Plus binding has won awards from both Powder magazine and Skiing magazine and is without a doubt the best AT binding you can buy. Before purchasing these bindings I did a lot of research for known issues, durability, and for similar products from other manufacturers (Naxo). The only issues I could find were with the rear clip of the binding from a previous model which was covered by warranty. There were significant issues with the AT binding by another manufacturer which made my buying decision very easy. One thing that you have to remember is to get the binding mounted by shop that has the proper Frischi/Diamir jig. A friend of mine had the unfortunate pleasure of picking up his skis to find his new AT bindings mounted "pigeon toed" (toe piece pointed inward).

I have the binding mounted on the Head Supermojo (193) and in my opinion is a pretty kickass combination. At first I was a little hesitant with what sort of terrain the binding could handle but my confidence quickly grew and was soon dropping cliffs without thinking twice. I strongly recommend these bindings and think they are definitely worth the money. You don't want to end up stuck in the middle of no where wishing you paid the extra money for a better quality AT binding.
